Having said what I said, I would very much like to read those new letter :-D
Can you send me the link please? Thanks!
the watchtower witch-hunters are still sending out subpoena's and closing down websites.
it is safer for simon, this board, and us if we send out internal confidential documents privately.. from time to time i will let you know something has arrived that you might want.
just send us a "pm" and we will give you the download links.. you do not need to include any personal information.

Petra,
It's very prudent of you to think about the safety of Simon, this board, and yourself.
I also think you're setting yourself up for a lot of extra work, while the documents will have a lower availability.
People who are here right now can ask for the documents, but what about someone who might need these documents a few years from now?
They won't know the documents exist, and if they did they might not be able to get them from you anymore.
I kindly and strongly suggest using a safe, anonymous and longterm file hosting platform.
There are several JW related websites out there that safely host all kinds of JW document, including the ones Watchtower doesn't want anyone to see.
For example, avoidjw.org uses faithleaks.org to safely store the files.
Would it be possible for you to leak your documents to them, adding to the repository of JW related documents rather than having only a few people on this board read them?
Of course it's entirely up to you and your efforts in getting these documents out in the open are very much appreciated either way.
i think everyone has heard about the video at the convention a few years back where an older ‘brother’ relates that “some were selling their homes” pre 1975, and it makes it look like the rank and file are stupid.
it shifts the blame to the r&f.
no mention of the km that advocated it.. and you have all seen the km that said it, and that it was the may 1974 km.. however, it was not.
Btw I checked on wol.jw.org
If I look up the English KM 05/74 and synchronize the infamous article to Dutch I get the same article but in KM 12/74, with statistics specifically for The Netherlands.
Of course you can't do this check to sync US English to Canadian English, but it's clear Watchtower isn't trying to hide this or cover it up (at least not by rewriting old KMs or messing with dates)

Jup. The whole 'simultaneous' circle jerk started mid 1980's if I'm not mistaken. Some countries a bit sooner, others a few years later.
Dutch magazines and KM lagged behind English several months.
And even today KM aren't 100% identical everywhere.
So the thing you noticed is simply the Canadian KM lagging behind US in those years.
I bet you can easily verify this by taking a sample of other KM you have in hardcopy and compare to the online version. You'll find similar differences for less controversial topics too I think.
i hope it's all clear now.. https://youtu.be/abcnryekw2c.
I don't follow....how did you get from 'overlapping generation' to 'overfapping generation'?
That's just baaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaahd.
hi everyone , how are ya'll ?
l have a question particularly for any americans on here .
l have an american friend from la who has recently been trying very hard to investigate bill gates and his foundation , she has shared quotes from a lot people making very serious accusations against bill .
I just came across this quote that made me think of this topics (and JW too):
"Man is a rational animal. He can think up a reason for anything he wants to believe."– Anatole France

Jan,
What would it matter if your friend believes this?
Let them believe what they want.
They have the right to be wrong :-)
You could simply agree with them to let the subject be. It seems mere facts won't change their mind anyway. They have a preset belief, and every fact anyone offers that contradicts that worldview will be rejected as tainted information. It will also likely push you two further apart if you argue about this.
Just be their friend. Don't discuss the subject anymore. If it becomes an obsession for them that actually threatens their health you could address that (without arguing whether they are right or not).
After all, if Bill has everything in their power your friend wouldn't be able to expose or fight him anyway.
Best thing they can do is choose a different charity to donate to.
If they have to obsess with every crook around (regardless of whether Bill is one) they'd have no life...
my sister sent me this text a few minutes ago.
what does she know about my relationship with jehovah?
it was followed up by a bunch of links to jw org problem is dialog is not possible her side is the only one to be heard.
Sending angry stuff will only make them believe stronger in Watchtowers false claim that all who leave are angry, bitter, unhappy.
Yet it could be a great opportunity to poke the bear a bit.
She wrote "I want to be able to do that with you in paradise. Get to know you and your family".
I'd definitely respond with something like "I'd love for you to spend some time with us and get to know us too! Good thing we can already do that today. You're kindly invited to [dinner at my place / phone call / whatever]. We're available [whatever date suits you]. Let me know if that date suits you too."
their official web site says that national television stations and radio stations in africa were happy to broadcast the memorial and even other talks!!
!.
Yeah they bought airtime on at least one tv station (in a country that has only one tv station and where other religions regularly buy airtime too).
Saying 'in Africa' is technically correct but it's a bit silly to make a claim about a whole continent if you're really talking about 1 or maybe 2 countries.
Anyway, every tv station is happily selling airtime to whomever is willing to pay. Doesn't mean those buying the airtime are awesome or divinely guided or anything....
mcl responded in part, in an earlier post about the hypocrisy in religion even the true religion.
making dumb guesses about god's cryptic prophecies makes them foolish and indiscreet- not false prophets who claim god gave them the message.. two questions—.
1) what is the “true religion‘s” definition of a prophet?.
what is the “True Religion‘s” definition of a prophet?
I think looking at the world around us, the more fun question is
What is a "Prophet"'s definition of “True Religion”?
Guess what? Every of the many thousands of 'prophets' all have their own - mutually exclusive - definitions.
